Barred...because of his jumper!
"There was no room at the inn for reveller Joseph Batty who was turned away from popular town centre nightspot because he was wearing a stripey jumper.
Market trader Joseph was bemused to be told by door staff that his navy jumper with two white stripes prevented him from being allowed inside Berlins Nightclub.
Mr Batty said "I was absolutely gobsmacked. I said you have got be kidding but the doorman said it was a new dress-code and pointed to a noticeboard."
He added "I have never heard anything like it and I thought the bouncers were joking but they said it with a straight face. I just cannot understand the thinking behind it, I mean a lot of people wear jumpers with stripes or some sort of logo on them" (you're telling me)
Lindsey Deaville manager and licensee of the Silver Street venue, said a dress had been implemented to deter a crowd of young trouble-makers (C-Bass!!!!) who regularly wore stripey jumpers and gold chains and who had been acting aggressively in pubs and clubs in the area.
She said other night-spots in the town used similar policies.
She added "The policy was brought into protect our customers but I will be having a word with staff to make sure they use their discretion."

The Great Debate
News - February 2002
It's a bit of a slow news month, so I thought what the heck! I'll make some up. Well if it's good enough for the Sun, it's good enough for the Beanokru website
SO JUST TO REITERATE ALL THESE STORIES ARE COMPLETE BULLSHIT AND BEAR ABSOLUTLY NO RESEMBLENCE TO THE TRUTH !
Eyes in Drugs Shocker !!!!!!
Beanokru member and FORMER Urban Dwellers player - Eyes - yesterday admiited himself into a drugs rehab centre. Eyes - real name Craig Heaton - last week failed a random drugs test prior to an important Dwellers match. Commenting yesterday Eyes said,
"It's not my fault I became addicted to Tixylix, it began when I had a cold, it tasted so good and I soon began drinking it for breakfast, I soon became hooked."

Big Pete Behind Bars
Big Pete today faces a life in prison, after he was convicted of multiple armed robbery. The self confessed kebab addict was involved in a string of incidents last year, in which he held up local kebab houses demanding all the doner meat they had. He was only caught after one quick-witted assistant laced a kebab with chilli sauce. Unable to stand the heat Pete ripped off his false beard and balaclaver, revealing his true identity

Sunny in Gangland Shooting
Local Bad Ass Gangsta Sundeep 'Ma Man' Maini was yesterday arrested on charges of shooting a man in the scrotum. Commenting last night he said,

"I az done nofink, what can I say - Diz iz da ghetto, it iz every bruvver  for imself"

The shooting was at first believed to be between two rival gangs. However it later emerged Sunny was merely impersonating a So Solid Crew gig, with what he thought was a water pistol.
