In the past Beano Kru Competitions have been a bit rubbish, anyone remember Guy's Fork and the Alan partridge Lynx Challenge? No thought not. Anyway I'd like to think this competition keeps up this venerable tradition. Now for such a crap idea it has surprisingly comex rules, so listen up! Put simply you have to identify each of the names below as either a man or a yam. However in the context of this competiton the definitions are slightly altered. A man refers to any human (male or female), a yam is a type of potato. I know a yam isn't really a potato, but they're sort of similar and besides man or spud wouln't sound as funny and chessy. The other rule is the potato always take priority, so if it says King Edward, you would put yam, because although there once was a King Edward, it is also a type of potato. I know this is as clear as mud, but this is what happens when you come up with the title of a competition before considering the rules.
