True Story: The University of Bradford recently merged with Bradford College, as part of the re-organisation the new institution felt it needed a new name. They commisioned a marketing company to come up with a snappy 21st century name and paid them £20,000 to do the job. After three months of research the marketing company returned with three suggestions, they were as follows - Bradford University, University of Bradford and The University of Bradford. Genious! Apparently the company conducted interviews with staff and students and these were the most popular choices. In a similar vein, I have decided a vote should take place to decide the new name of the Beano Kru website, except I don't need some fancypants marketing company to come up with the suggestions, thank you very much.
